Hello everyone,
I hope you are enjoying the weekend!
I am looking forward to our first full/regular week. Hopefully everyone is settled in and will have a great week.
6th grade: We will continue in Chapter 1. You will have a quiz at the end of this week/beginning of next week on Chapter 1 Sections 1 - 4. I'll let you know as soon as the test date is set. Spiral 1 will go home this Tuesday and is due the following Tuesday, August 21st.
7th grade: You are doing a great job with integers! We will continue with integers (all operations) this week, expect a pop quiz soon on adding and subtracting. We will then begin in Chapter 1. Spiral 1 will go home this Tuesday and is due the following Tuesday, August 21st.
Have a great week!

Week of May 7th
Hi everyone,
We're winding down! Hang in there!!!
Just a reminder that I will be out most of the week next week- and will be back at school mid-day Thursday. I will not have access to email while I am gone, please keep that in mind.
6th grade: Students need to bring calculators to class daily! Test is on Tuesday, May 8th. Review sheets went home this past week. Calculators allowed on the percent proportion part of the test only. Spiral due Tuesday, May 8th. Last spiral of the nine weeks will go out on the 8th and is due Tuesday May 15th.
7th grade: Study guides were passed out Friday. Due to a very busy schedule, some students were not in class. Extra study guides are on the back table of the classroom. Please read the directions carefully! I will have one homework check for these (it is not split into 3 as it was last semester), on Monday, May 14th- study guide is worth 15 points.
Most of the test grades from the most recent test (Volume of solids) were very good. I have decided to give one last opportunity for points- there will be a "graded activity" on Friday, May 11th covering functions and graphing linear equations (see Chapter 11 sections 1 and 4). This will be worth 20 - 25 points and will be completed in class.
Have a wonderful week everyone!!

Week of April 30th
6th grade: Spiral due Tuesday, May 1st. New Spiral goes home that day and is due Tuesday, May 8th. I announced on Monday that a test was scheduled for this Thursday. Test will cover same material as review sheet indicates, though make sure you omit III. C. as we discussed in class. This test is the last major test grade! Study guides will go home this Friday and are due Monday, May 14th for a total of 15 points. Signed tests and test corrections are due Tuesday, May 1st. Your last spiral of the year (!!!!!) will go home Tuesday, May 1st and is due Tuesday, May 8th.

Week of April 23rd
Hi everyone,
Sorry to post late. Both grades have spirals due on Tuesday, May 1st.
6th grade did a much better job on their last tests! All tests must be signed (regardless of grade) and returned to school by Friday 4/27. Test corrections- which are optional, and are the only bonus in class, are also due on Friday. Next test date is TBA. We are working on scale and then moving on to percents in chapter 9.
7th grade- I am still grading your last tests, will get those back ASAP. Your next test is Tuesday, May 1st. Review sheets were passed out Wednesday. This test covers volume of pyramids, cones, prisms and cylinders (formulas on test) as well as slope.
Have a great week and weekend!

Week of April 10th
Hello everyone,
I hope that you are having a wonderful break! I am at working at school during break- and some of you (probably parents) might be looking ahead. 4th nine weeks flies by- especially for 7th grade- so here are some upcoming dates.
6th grade: Your tests will be passed back on Tuesday, 4/10 (the day we return from break). I will be out Wednesday due to my son's field trip, and out Thursday with the 7th graders on our field trip to Avery Island. We will be continuing in Chapter 8- ratios, rate, proportions. Next test date is TBA. Spiral due the day we return (Tuesday 4/10) with the new spiral going home that day as well, and due the following Tuesday 4/17.
7th grade: Tests were passed out the day before Easter break- and overall you did a FABULOUS job! :) Well done! Signed tests and test corrections due Friday 4/13. Spiral 2 due the day we return- Tuesday 4/10. Spiral 3 will go out Tuesday 4/10, due Tuesday 4/17. Next test is on Wednesday 4/18- Chapter 10 Sections 1 -3. Remember you must memorize the formulas from this section! We will pick up some sections from several chapters, so from here through the end of the year no more chapter tests.
It seems soon to say this- but study guides will be here before we know it. Your math study guide will be passed out on Friday, May 4th and is due on Monday, May 14th for a total of 15 points (one homework check).
Exams are scheduled as follows:
1st & 3rd hour Thursday 5/17 (dismissal at 11:35)
4th & 5th hour Friday 5/18 (dismissal at 11:35)
6th & 7th hour Monday 5/21 (dismissal TBA)
Have a wonderful and blessed Easter!
