6th grade: Test this Friday, 3/22, Chapter 7 Sections 1, 2. Information below.

7th grade: Test review sheets have been passed out, again- information below.

6th grade: 
7.1- Translate verbal phrases (ex. 1 pg. 317)
Translate verbal sentences (ex. 2 pg. 318)
Write and solve an equation (ex. 3 pg. 318)
*Study the chart in your notes and/or TB pg. 317
7.2- Combine like terms (ex. 1 pg. 322)
Identify terms, like terms, coefficients and constants (ex. 2 pg. 322)
Simplify expressions by combining like terms (ex. 3 pg. 323)

Week of March 18th

Hi all,

Hope you are enjoying this beautiful weekend! Great to see so many students and families along the parade route yesterday. 

We are in the fourth nine weeks! The year has suddenly flown by, and the fourth nine weeks always goes by quickly. 7th grade- you especially will have a fast nine weeks with exams (yes, you have Terra Nova as well), make every grade count!

6th grade: We are continuing in Chapter 7 this week, next test date is TBA. You will be given a spiral Tuesday, 3/19, due 3/26.

7th grade: We are continuing in Chapter 7 this week- great job on this chapter so far! Chapter 7 (whole chapter) test will be next week before we get out for Easter break. I'll keep you posted on the test date. Spiral will go out Tuesday 3/19 and is due 3/26.

Week of March 11th

6th grade: We will continue in Chapter 7 this week, equations and expressions. EXCELLENT job on last quiz- distributive property and coordinate plane. That was the last big grade for the 3rd nine weeks! Bonus and Spiral both due Wednesday.

7th grade: We are continuing in Chapter 7 this week. I am making my way through your tests- so far they have been wonderful! Great job. That is the last big grade for the nine weeks. Spiral due Tuesday, Bonus due Wednesday.

No quizzes or tests this week for either grade.

This is the last week of the 3rd nine weeks! Hang in there.

Important Info!

Both grades: 
A bonus assignment will be given out this week. This is OPTIONAL and due by Wed. 3/13.

6th grade: Thursday's test covers 6.7 & 6.8.

6.7- Students must use distributive property to rewrite expressions.
6.8- Students must label a blank coordinate plane (matching)- Quadrants I - IV, origin, x-axis, y-axis. -Label points when given coordinates, when points are graphed, give coordinates, describe location of points (Ex: QI or x-axis)

7th grade: Mistake on the spiral! Change #7) 15y to -14y. 
#9 and #10 are the same- work them twice :) 

Test Friday- use review sheet to prepare!
