       A. Check possible solutions (see pg. 26 ex. 1)

          B. Use mental math to solve equations (see. Pg. 27 ex. 2)

          C. Solve for distance using D=rt (See pg. 28 ex. 3)

                  

II. 1.6 Perimeter and Area pg. 32

A. MUST MEMORIZE AND APPLY THESE FORMULAS!!!! They will not be provided on

   the test!

Rectangle: A = lw, P = 2l + 2w        Square: A = s2, P = 4s

B. Find perimeter and area of rectangles, squares, and other figures (see pg. 35 # 25, 26). For these figures, find perimeter by adding the sides, find area by splitting the figure into rectangles, squares, then adding the areas together.
